Iran's nuclear program is one of the most volatile regions. Americans believe that Iran is building a nuclear program to create weapons while the Iranians claim they are building it so they can generate electricity without dipping into the oil supply and to provide fuel for medical reactors. The American military claim that Iran could make bomb fuel for one nuclear weapon within one year. Inspectors have also said that Iran has been stocking up on fuel and could now make more weapons with more time. there is still questioning on how well and how long Iran has been planning this.
Should the United States of America consider the option of nuclear strike against the nation of Iran?
- A fragile situation like this puts America in a very difficult place, especially since it has occurred before; do we attack first? or risk being attacked? we strongly feel as though it would not be a good idea if we attacked first. this would be a bad idea because we're not even 100% sure what their intentions are with their nuclear program. Also, if we attack first we'll be causing an even bigger issue and starting war. we've been in the middle east for 11 years now and nothing has been solved. yes, we got our revenge by killing Osama, but that also caused more tension between two nations and caused hatred to rise. If we attack first, we'll only prove that we are what the Iranians describe us as. we will seem as though we are the true terrorists, especially how things have been going so far. if we attack first by striking Iran, we will put our own people at risk for a reason that technically is not even legitimate yet.
If we do gather more evidence of Iran's plans to strike against the U.S, it would be acceptable to strike them first because we would be protecting our country and our people. If we don't have proof, we could risk starting an even bigger issue of which we can not afford. if we do have proof, we should strike.
However, Mr. President, if you decide to strike against Iran, we must be smart about it. we have had our encounters with Iran so it wouldn't be much of a surprise if you decided to attack. Although we are capable of striking, we 'd just be going back and forth. They attacked the U.S on 9/11 and we stroke back by going over and fighting and just recently killing Osama Bin Laden. But if we keep attacking, the problem will only become bigger. we could also risk getting ourselves into bigger and dangerous problems.

Syria was at one point in the development stages of gaining nuclear power with the help of North Korea, but last year there was a rumored aerial attack by Israel which stopped their progress. It was believed that their purposes for nuclear power was not peaceful. Egypt has just announced that they are in the building stages of multiple nuclear power plants for the soul purpose of electrical use. The U.S has even offered to help and say that there is no comparison in Egypt's use of nuclear power to Iran's controversial uses. Jordan has said that by the year 2015 they will have nuclear power for electrical and weaponry purposes. They don't plan to use their weaponry but to have it just in case. They would mainly like to have power for much cheaper so that they can provide it for their entire nation. If we were to attack Iran then we must be prepared for a major back lash from other middle eastern countries that are allied with them. Their biggest ally in the middle east would be Syria but that might be about it. Iran is not an Arab country because they are Persian therefore they don't have as many allies as someone might think. This may result in most other countries remaining neutral throughout the entire feud.
